ALEXA JANE HEINZE Alexa Jane Heinze, 16, was born to Robert Heinze and Bobbi Jo (Faller) Heinze on May 3, 1994, in Mayville, N.D. The youngest of three girls, Alexa grew up in Luverne, N.D., and attended Hope High School. Always bringing out the best in everyone, friends and family frequently noted how she represented the most admirable characteristics of each family member. She brought light to each and every person she touched with her contagious laugh and bright smile. She blessed her family, friends, and community with love and happiness. Alexa Jane had many talents and passions. Growing up, she thrived on the volleyball court, recognizable by her tenacity for the game and the number three on her back. She especially loved to look up and see her supportive family cheering from the sidelines. Alexa’s passion for sewing lead her to aspirations of fashion design; her closet was full of her original work. Her skills as a seamstress also allowed her to mend her puppy Olive’s toys. Olive was a new addition to Alexa’s life, but in their short time together brought much joy, now serving to remind loved ones of Alexa’s youthful spirit and goofy personality. People often commented on how much the two resembled each other: long and lean, confident but clumsy. This truly unique, creative young girl also enjoyed softball and track. Alexa frequently babysat her cousins with joy. Alexa loved to make people laugh, whether by striking a silly pose or sending a random message. In short, when Alexa smiled, everyone smiled. Alexa passed away on the morning of January 14, 2011 near Hope, ND.
