CHARLIE W. ANDERSON

CHARLIE W. ANDERSON Charlie W. Anderson, 92 a resident of Hope, ND passed away February 21, 2011 at the Sanford Health Medical Center in Mayville, ND. Charlie was born February 21, 2011 to Jacob and Vanda (Elston) Anderson. He grew up in the Clifford and Hope area. Charlie married June Hillerson December 6, 1937 and they where married for 71 years. The couple farmed west of Hope in Carpenter Township and worked as a mechanic during the winter months. In 1975 they moved into Hope and continued to farm until 1981. June died June 3, 2009. Charlie enjoyed farming, working in his garage fixing things, playing guitar, piano, and string bass, having a good time with his friends and family. Charlie is survived by his son-in-law, John Oxton, Hope,, ND; 4 grandchildren,, Lesley Oxton, William Oxton, Cherie (Pete) Schumacher, all of Hope, ND and Karla (Daniel) Knudsvig, West Fargo, ND; 16 great-grandchildren; nephew, Jay (Marilyn) Mitchell, Sioux Falls, SD Charlie was preceded by his wife June, daughter Judy Oxton (1998), infant twins John Marvin and Judy Marie; brother, Edgar Anderson and sister Marie Mitchell. Memorial Services will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Hope American Legion Hall, Hope, ND.
