RICHARD L. ANDERSON Richard L. Anderson, 74 of Hatton ND formerly of Finley, ND died Tuesday, August 16, 2011 in Sanford Medical Center, Mayville, ND. Richard Anderson was born July 27, 1937 in Sharon, ND the son of Robert and Bernice (Kilen) Anderson. He grew up and attended school in Sharon ND. He married Valene (Streed) Anderson March 6, 1966 in Fargo ND. The couple made their home in the Finley-Sharon area. In 2009 Richard moved to Hatton ND. Richard was a member of the National Guard for seven years and farmed and was the Postmaster in Finley for many years. Richard enjoyed being on the farm, riding horses in his younger days and tending to the cattle. He also enjoyed going out to the Johnson Stock Farm. He is survived by his daughter Karla (Steve) Neset, Finley, ND; four sons, Mark (Tara) Anderson, Hatton ND; Kent Anderson, Bryan Anderson, and Craig (Torina) Anderson all of Sharon ND; two brothers, Clayton (Yvonne) Anderson, Portland ND, and Roger (Carol) Anderson, Finley ND; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 22, 2011 at 10:00 am in the Beaver Creek Lutheran Church, Hatton, ND.
