IRA A. FUGLESTAD Ira A. Fuglestad, Luverne, ND died Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Ira Ardell Fuglestad was born March 19, 1930 in Cooperstown, ND, the seventh of son of Thorwald and Inga (Nevland) Fuglestad. He grew up and attended rural school near Luverne, ND. He helped his father farm after a brief time of working for Torger Soma. Ira took over the family farm in the 1980’s and raised beef cattle until his death. (the families comment was he was married to his cows) He is survived by two brothers; Vernon Fuglestad, Cooperstown, ND, Ralph (Ardella) Fuglestad, Northwood, ND; sister, JoAn Nellermoe, Gladstone, OR; many nieces and nephews and their families and cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Thelford, Lloyd, Marvin, Reynold, two nieces,a nephew and a grandnephew. Funeral services will be Friday, May 18, 2012at 2:00 pm in the Zion Lutheran Church in Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown and one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in the Westley Cemetery, rural Cooperstown, ND.
