RICHARD J. MCSORLWY

RICHARD J. MCSORLEY Richard was born September 9, 1930 in Stanten Island, NY the son of Nicholas and Madeline (Libutti) McSorley. He grew up and attended school there. He married Arlene Reeder February 28, 1953 in Stanten Island. Richard worked for FMC in New Jersey for 19 years before moving to Underwood, MN in 1970 where Richard worked at odd jobs in the area. In 1988 the couple moved to Fargo where he worked for PTO Maintenance until 1998 when Richard was diagnosed with renal cancer. He had a kidney transplant in 2001. The couple then moved to Hope, ND in 2007. Richard passed away August 23, 2012 in the Hillsboro Nursing Home in Hillsboro, ND. Richard is survived by his wife Arlene, Hope, ND; three sons, Richard (Joyce), Hope, ND, Mark, MN, Jeff (Jodi) Campbell, MN; daughter Jennifer Bisbee, Lubbock, TX; son-in-law Brand Janssen, Fergus Falls, MN; 22 grandchildren , 11 great grandchildren; three brothers, Michael Cataneo, Anthony Cataneo, Alfred McSorley and sister Marie D’Amico all of New York. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Ruth; granddaughter Kaitlyn and grandson Justin. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the Hope Senior Citizens Hall in Hope, ND.
