LAWRENCE M. HEINZE Lawrence M. Heinze, 65, Cooperstown, ND, passed way Tuesday, October 02, 2012 in the Cooperstown Medical Center Hospital in Cooperstown, ND. Lawrence was born July 31, 1947 in Cooperstown, ND the son of Math and Pearl (Becherl) Heinze. He grew up and attended school in Jessie, ND and graduated from Cooperstown High School in 1965. He served in the US Army from 1965 to 1969 in Germany. He married Patricia Knapp July 25, 1970 in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jessie, ND. Lawrence or “Honda” as he was better known worked for Reiten’s Manufacturing for 40 years before health problems forced him to retire. Honda loved riding motorcycle, playing with his dogs and hunting. He was a member of the Gordon Lindgren American Legion Post #143 and served on the St. George Catholic Church Parish Board. Honda was a devoted husband and father and loved all his family before anything else. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Patricia; son, Joseph, both of Cooperstown, ND; sister Lucy Reinhart, Jamestown, ND; sisters-in-law, Veronica (David) Saxberg, Cooperstown, ND, Joan (Tim) Hagen, Fargo, ND, Kim (Jeff) Edland, Glenfield, ND; brother-in-law, Jeff (Sue) Knapp, Wahpeton, ND and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Math and Pearl; brother, Robert; brother-in-law, Orris. Funeral Services will be Friday, October 5, 2012 at 2:00 pm in St. George Catholic Church in Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the Church and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Thursday at 5:30 pm in the Church. Interment will be in St. George Cemetery, Cooperstown, ND.
