DENNIS LEROY ANUNDSON DENNIS LEROY ANUNDSON, 95, Cooperstown, ND, formerly of Hannaford, ND died Sunday, December 30, 2012 in the Griggs County Care Center in Cooperstown, ND. Dennis was born July 3, 1917 in Hannaford, ND the son of Halvor and Helga (Norderhaug) Anundson. He grew up and attended school there. He married Bernice Lende July 8, 1943 in the Fargo Evangelical Free Church, Fargo, ND. They lived in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada, during the last years of Dennis’s Bible schooling. The couple lived and pastored in Hawaii, Evanston, WY, California, Rutland, Forman, Havana, Drake, Killdeer, ND and Anadarko, OK. The couple moved to Hannaford, ND in 1985. Bernice passed away September 12, 2006; Dennis continued to make his home in the Griggs County Care Center, where his needs were met in a compassionate and professional way. Dennis enjoyed preaching, fishing and taking walks with his wife. Dennis was an accomplished mechanic, able to fix autos and farm equipment. Both Dennis and Bernice played in string bands. He played the Hawaiian and bass guitar. He loved people and had a strong desire to see them enter into a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Dennis is survived by fifty nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. He loved visiting with them weekly and praying with them over the phone.He considered Ted and Phyllis children to be his (Erleen Staley, Mary Lou Bravo, Bonne Mabon, Joel Curtis, Virginia Thompson, Rachel Graybill, Esther Curtis and John Curtis). He was preceded in death by his parents, Halvor and Helga; wife, Bernice, 2 brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be Friday, January 4, 2012 at 10:30 am in the Cornerstone Community Church, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 3, 2012 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in the Saron Cemetery, rural Cooperstown, ND in the spring.
