EVA MARY PICKAR Eva Pickar, 82 Finley, ND died Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at her home in Finley, ND. Eva, the daughter of Frank and Magdalene (Hoffman) Huschka was born August, 1930 in South Heart, ND. The family moved to a farm near Hope, ND where Eva attended school and graduated from high school. Eva met the love of her life Richard Pickar and were united in marriage on June 15, 1953 at St. Agatha’s Catholic Church in Hope, ND. They had four children: Ron, Roger, Janice and Diana. They made their home in the Hope and Finley area their entire marriage. Eva was a very active housewife working side by side with Richard when they were farming in the Hope area and while she was a grain elevator owner’s wife in the Finley area. Eva was active in many church and civic activities. She was a member St. Olaf Catholic Church in Finley and an active Legion Auxiliary member for many years. Eva can be remembered best for her role as a faithful, loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. She was our mother taxi driver, nurse and our best friend. Surviving members of her family include her husband, Richard, Finley, her children, Ron (Jan) Pickar, Bismarck, ND, Roger (Linell) Pickar, Wimbledon, ND, Janice (Dave) Hankey, Kearny, NE, Diana (Reno) Neva, Finley, ND; brother Fritz, Huschka, Hope, ND, sisters, Angie Heckel, Belle Vista, AR, 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, Jerome, Vincent, Valentine, George, Adam, Andrew; 3 sisters, Amelia, Ida and Pauline. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 10:30 am in St. Agatha’s Catholic Church in Hope, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 5:00 till 7:00 in St. Olaf Catholic Church in Finley, ND. A Prayer Service will be Tuesday, at 7:00 pm in St. Olaf Catholic Church in Finley, ND. Interment will be in the Hope Cemetery, Hope, ND.
