GLADYS D. FLIFLET

GLADYS D. FLIFLET Gladys D. Fliflet, 87, Larimore, ND formerly of Cooperstown, ND, died Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Gladys was born January 19, 1926, in Binford the daughter of John G and Myrtle S (Hagle) Dahl. She grew up and attended school near Hannaford, ND at the Barkley rural school. Gladys married Marvin Fliflet October 10, 1945. The couple farmed in the Revere, ND area until 1987 when they moved into Cooperstown, ND. Gladys made her home in Cooperstown and later moving in 2004 to Larimore, ND. Gladys enjoyed farming, bowling and Horseshoes, attending many Horseshoe tournaments. She also enjoyed her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchild, nieces and nephews. She is survived a son Derwood (Toby)( Pat), Barnesville, MN; daughter, Mavis (Jeff Gratton) Carroll, Northwood, ND, six grandchildren, Juanita (Jeff) Thompson, Eddie Carroll, Shelly (Scott) Gennerman, April (Jeff) Swenson, Jason (Amber) Fliflet, and Simone Fliflet,12 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and brother, Douglas Dahl, Cooperstown, ND and sister-in-law, Ruth Dahl, Hannaford, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marvin, a grandson , brothers, Quentin, Alvin (Bootsy) and Morris, sister Ginger and son-in-law Dennis Carroll. Funeral services will be, Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 5:00 till 7:00 pm in the Funeral Home and one hour before services in the Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will be Tuesday 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Binford, Cemetery, and Binford, ND.
