LLOYD E. LAW

LLOYD E. LAW Lloyd E Law, 93 of Finley, ND passed away February 17, 2014 at home. Lloyd was born on June 27, 1920 near Luverne, ND to Gilbert and Olga (Stoleson). He graduated from Luverne High School. He went from farming with horses and pitching bundles to 4 wheel drive and combines with auto steer. He loved farming and continued to help even at 90 years old. On December 10, 1946 Lloyd married Joyce Soma. He spent many days playing baseball with his brothers, coached by his Grandfather "Dad" Law. He enjoyed fishing and won a boat in a fishing tournament. He was involved with Hofva and Luverne church boards, Crop Improvement, ND State Township Association and was on the Riverside Township Board. He was a 4-H leader. He enjoyed breakfast with the boys in Cooperstown even if he didn't learn anything and lost at dice. Lloyd enjoyed life and visiting. Lloyd is survived by his children: Gene (Patty), Ventura, CA, David, Casper, WY, James and Ruth (Jim) Hahn: 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; brother Willie, (Patty); sister Donna Nelson, Fargo; sister-in-law Roberta, Little Falls, MN; brother-in-law Clifford Anderson, Cooperstown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce, daughter-in-law Laura, grandson Daniel Hahn, brothers Russell, Henry (Bud) and Ray. Sisters-in law Ovidia Anderson and Leila Soma and brother-in-law Guy Nelson. Funeral services will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Luverne Lutheran Church, Luverne, ND. Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2014 from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Friday at 7:00 in the Funeral Home.
