DEAN S. DAHL Dean S. Dahl, 47, Cooperstown, ND, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the Griggs County Care Center in Cooperstown, ND after a courageous yearlong battle from an unknown neurologic illness. Dean was born April 2, 1969 in Valley City, ND, the son of Quentin and Annie Dahl of Cooperstown, ND. He grew up and attended Griggs County Central School in Cooperstown. After High School, Dean worked for Skyway’s Airport. In 1991, Dean moved to Fargo where he worked at OK Tire, Bauer Built Tire, and Wingfoot Goodyear. On June 15, 1996, Dean married the love of his life, Rachel Marie Carlson in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND. They resided in their home in Fargo, ND. In June 2010, Dean, Rachel, and Jace moved to Sharon, ND, where Dean worked on the Carlson Family Farm. In July of 2012 Dean and his family made their home in Cooperstown, ND. In 2014, Dean wanted to spend more time with his family and started employment with SWF Construction until he became ill in May of 2015. Dean was known to have an outgoing and jokester personality. He loved his family and friends very much and the social person he was, enjoyed visiting and meeting people. He was always there to offer to help and affected so many lives with his hard work and great personality. He had a love for motorcycles, hunting, and fishing, but his main priority was to his family and friends. His favorite role in life was that of Husband and Father. Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Quentin and Annie; and Niece, Kari Ann Bosch. He is survived by his wife, Rachel and son, Jace, Cooperstown, ND; 1 Brother, Greg (Louise) Dahl, Cooperstown, ND; 3 Sisters, Patty Stokes, Wahpeton, ND, Pam (Don) Harper, Harrisonburg, VA, and Paulie (Don) Schneider, Bismarck, ND; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 till 7:00 pm in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND and one hour prior to services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be held Friday at 7:00 pm in Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM at Sheyenne Valley Cemetery, rural Finley, ND.
