CRAIG ROBERT SCHEER

Craig Robert Scheer, age 52, of Fisher, MN, passed away on June 11, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Craig was born on November 19, 1963, in Minot, ND, to Robert and Marsha (Veum) Scheer. Craig attended Parshall High School where he graduated in 1982. Craig had absolute love and pride for Western North Dakota where he learned to hunt, fish, and love the great outdoors and it is there that his career in the petroleum industry began. He was currently working at Oasis Petroleum at the time of his death. On July 13, 1991, Craig married Tanya Fah in Parshall, ND, and his greatest accomplishment was his dedication to his family. He never had a conversation that did not involve the pride he had for his daughters. Craig loved to hunt with his family as well as take time at the lake to fish and relax. On June 7, 2015, Craig proudly joined the Catholic faith. When asked how he kept moving he would respond, “It’s like the Tim McGraw song, Live Like You’re Dying.” He had a personality where he was always happy which was contagious when he walked into a room. Craig is survived by his wife Tanya Scheer of Fisher, MN; daughters, Ashley, Carlie, and Bailee, all of Fisher, MN; mother, Marsha Scheer of Ray, ND; father, Robert Scheer of Lakeville, MN; and sisters, Becky (Chuck) McGarvey of Lakeville, MN; and Renae Robicheaux of Houston, TX; as well as many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Spencer and Erma Scheer and Belle and Wilfred “Wally” Veum and nephew, Robbie Geiger.
