JAMES F. MARTIN James Fred Martin, 69, Finley, ND died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND. James was born January 14, 1947 in St. Johns, MI the son of Gerald and Veronica (Rahl) Martin. He graduated from Rodney B. Wilson High School in 1965. Upon graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served until 1971. He as stationed at Battle Creek, MI, Okinawa, and the Finley Radar Base, Finley, ND. While stationed in Finley he met and married Delphine Gullicks October 18, 1969. After being discharged Jim served in Law Enforcement for several years and in the Trucking industry . Jim was active in the Boy Scouts of America, being a troop leader. He also enjoyed being involved in the Masonic Lodge as an active member of the Northern Mayflower Lodge #45. He is survived by: his wife, Delphine, Finley, ND; daughters, Jennifer (Jon) Holte, Parkers Prairie, MN, Jaclynn (Jason) Heinz, Rolette, ND, Dyan (Joe) Wood, Bismarck, ND; grandchildren, Jordyn, Hunter, MacKenzie, Haleigh Holte; Sierra, Karesse, Ariah Heinz; Deaglan, Teagan Wood; a brother, Jack (Jean) Martin, Alpena, MI. Preceded in death his parents, brother, Kurt Martin; sisters, Mary Ann Martin, Joanne Martin, Marilyn Keifer and grandson, Austin Holte A Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 3, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Finley Lutheran Church, Finley, ND. A Prayer Service will be Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 till 7:00 in the Church and one hour before services in the Church. Interment will be in the Finley Cemetery, Finley, ND.
