CARROLL B. DRONEN Carroll Burton Dronen, 85, Finley, ND died Sunday, December 18, 2016 in the Hatton Prairie Village, Hatton, ND. Carroll was born March 17, 1931 to Carl and Betsie (Brakke) Dronen in Franklin Township, Steele County, North Dakota. He was Baptized and Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church Sharon, ND. Carroll graduated from Finley High School in 1949. After graduating he served 4 years in the Army and was stationed at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and Germany. Following his years working in the Seattle Shipyard as an Iron Worker Carroll returned to the Finley ND area and worked several years for Brager Disposal and area farmers. Carroll enjoyed playing cards and visiting over a cup of coffee with his long-time friends. Carroll had a passion for antique farm equipment and was an avid participant in area Tractor Pulling Contests winning many awards. Carroll was an active member and an officer of Peterson-Olson American Legion. He was honored this year with his 45th Year Star. Carroll is survived by his Sister In-Law Joan Dronen of Fargo and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers: Orville, Elvin, Richard, Vernal; Sisters: Alice Carlson, Marilyn Grunseth, and Ila Mae Wigen. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday, May 30, 2107 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sharon, ND. Interment in the Trinity Cemetery, Sharon, ND.
