PHYLLIS OSMUNDSON Phyllis Osmundson, 90, Cooperstown, ND died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 in the Cooperstown Medical Center. Phyllis was born August 11, 1926 in Cooperstown, ND the daughter of Oliver and Marie (Carlson) Larson. She attended country school, Bolken, Park and Shepard. She graduated from Cooperstown High School. Phyllis went to Everett, WA and worked for Boeing Aircraft. She returned to Cooperstown and worked at Farmers Supply Hardware. She married F.L. (Pete) Ronningen December 8, 1945 in East Grand Forks, MN. The couple made their home near Cooperstown. Besides being a farmer’s wife Phyllis worked at C&D Market, Wakefield Clinic, Howden’s Drug Store, Griggs County Bookmobile and Griggs County Social Services. Phyllis was active in the community volunteering at the Griggs County Nursing Home, Zion L.B. Sunday School. She kept her self-busy, babysitting grandchildren, driving combine and trucks. She married Allen Osmundson June 12, 1983. The couple made their home near Binford, ND. Allen died December 24, 2008. Phyllis moved back to Cooperstown. She is survived by her children, Barry (Donna) Ronningen, Cooperstown, ND, Judy (Henry Zimprich) Ronningen, Binford, ND; Grandchildren, Tami Kensok, Annette (Chris) Lunde, Blake (Annette) Krabbenhoft, Shane (Sherrie) Krabbenhoft, Joel (Lydia) Ronningen, John (Emily) Ronningen, Jared (Joanna) Ronningen; Great grandchildren, Wyatt, Dylan, Jessica, Jacee, Jadyn, Sutton, Logan, Allison, Alaina, Peter and Ella. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parent, Oliver and Marie; husbands, Pete and Allen; son, Leslie; granddaughter and husband Rhonda and Cory Hoyt; son-in-law, Kent VenHuizen. A Memorial Service will be held in the spring of 2017.
