LYLA H. DASCHENDORF

LYLA H. DASCHENDORF Lyla H. Daschendorf, 77, Grand Forks, ND died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 in the Altru Hospital, Grand Forks, ND. Lyla was born March 4, 1939 the daughter of G.R. and Rebecca (Fregien) Daschendorf of Ashley, ND. She grew up and attended country school near Ashley, ND and graduated from Ashley High School. She attended several colleges and obtained her Master’s degree in education. She was a career teacher having taught in Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota. She retired in 2011. She moved to Parkwood Senior Living in Grand Forks in 2013. She enjoyed traveling, going to concerts and her last year’s adult coloring. She held coloring classes at Parkwood for all who wanted to come. She is survived by her brother; Roy (Jan) Daschendorf, Hope, ND. Lyla was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND.
