LAVONNA C. JULIUSON

LAVONNE C. JULIUSON LaVonne C. Juliuson was born April 12, 1923 to Hugh and Olga (Peterson) Drake. She graduated from Cooperstown School and attended Mayville State College for her teacher’s certificate. She married Bert Juliuson on January 23, 1944 in Luverne, ND. LaVonne taught in area school for many years. She attended Hofva Church and held many offices for the Ladies Aid. She was a member of the Hope American Legion Auxiliary. LaVonne loved to do crafts and many people have some of her work. She volunteered at the Griggs County Nursing Home doing crafts. Bert died in 1995. She stayed on the farm for several years going to Florida for the winters. Lavonne then moved to Hope before moving to Assisted Living in Cooperstown and then the Griggs County Care Center. LaVonne passed away on November 23 under the loving care of hospice. She is survived by her son Alan (Corlis) and daughter Alana all of Hope, ND. She is also survived by her grandsons, Jeff (Chasity), Luke (Brittany), Justin (Bianca Milz), Jacob, Mitchell and James. She has six great grandchildren: Bryce, Rilyn, Carter, Jocelyn, Callie and Amelia. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 1:00 till 2:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 pm in the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hope, ND. Interment will be in the Hofva Cemetery.
