Charles Virgil DeHoff II ~ “Charlie”
Charles Virgil DeHoff II, age 69, Binford, ND, passed away peacefully at home on February 7, 2026.
Charlie was born December 31,1956 at Fort Bragg, N.C. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church and remained a lifelong member. Charlie attended many schools while his father served in the Air Force, including Cooperstown, Greece, Jessie and Fortuna. He graduated from Binford High School in 1975 with a Vocational Education in Building Trades.
After graduation, Charlie continued working on the family farm and later worked for Border States. In 1988, he moved to Seattle, WA with his family and worked for Burnham Insulation until returning to Binford, ND in the fall of 1997. He worked for and served local farmers until his retirement.
Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering, riding motorcycle, camping, woodworking, and drinking Budweiser.
He is survived by his three children: Corey, Sioux Falls, SD; Chip & Felicity (Rowe) Cooperstown, ND and Kelly, Grand Forks, ND; mother, Alice DeHoff; siblings David, Laurie & Steve Fisher, Julie Keller, Tina & John Rice, and Angie & Chad Sorensen; grandchildren AJ, Kallie, Colton, Simon, Damian, and Ava.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles V. DeHoff; siblings Bobby and Jane Marie; and his paternal and maternal grandparents, uncles, and aunts.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 5 pm til 7 pm with a prayer service at 6 pm at Quam~Plaisted~Cushman Funeral Home, Cooperstown, ND.
Visitation will continue Monday, February 16, 2026 from 1 pm til 2pm with a Funeral service being held at 2 pm at Zion Lutheran Church, Binford, ND.
Interment will be held immediately following service at Zion Cemetery.
