CLINTON E. SOLBERG

Clinton Earl Solberg, 83, of Cooperstown, ND, passed away April 8th, 2023 at home under the care of hospice. Clint was born August 12, 1939 in Bemidji, MN.  He was the son of Ernest Solberg and Leora (Kisinger) Solberg.  He attended school in Pinewood, MN. 

He married LouAnn (Fisher) Solberg on September 8, 1962.  Clint and LouAnn made Cooperstown, ND their home.  He worked at Reiten's in Cooperstown, ND.  He was a well known welder.  Clint and LouAnn owned a bar called Cobb's Place in Cooperstown from 1968 to 1972.  He loved to volunteer at the Cooperstown Thrift Store where he made lots of friends.  If you were his friend, you would end up with some of the cookies Clint made.  He loved to help his friends out in any way he could whether it was fixing something that was broken or watching their dogs.

Clint was survived by son's Kevin Solberg of Miller, SD, Craig (Karla) Solberg of Sioux Falls, SD, Cory (Pattie) Solberg of Fargo, ND, Chad (Darla) Solberg of Coon Rapids, MN, brothers Clay (Mary Ann) Solberg of Spooner, WI, Kenneth (Carol) Solberg of Maple Grove, MN, Robert (Sue) Solberg of Ft. Collins, CO, sister Char Butler of Louisville, KY,  grandchildren Kaitlyn (Lorenzo) Longe, Austin, Nathaniel and Rianna Solberg, great-grandchild Chloe and numerous nieces and nephews.

Clint was preceded in death by his parents, LouAnn, his wife, son Wade, brother Ernest Solberg and sisters Joyce Hardt, Shirley Saar and Phyllis Thomton.

Memorial services for Clint will be held Saturday, June 17th at 11:00 AM in the Trinity Lutheran Church of Cooperstown, ND.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the services in the church.  Interment will be in the Cooperstown Cemetery.  Arrangements with Quam Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home.
