Dennis was at the military hospital in Illinois after being wounded in Vietnam and after his recovery, was out at a local establishment on base and one of his friends asked him to meet his girlfriend’s friend whose blind date did not show. It was love at first sight and 6 weeks later they were engaged and within 6 months were married. Darlene the beautiful city girl from Wisconsin moved to a farm in Finley ND with an outhouse, no rural water and was so happy to start her life with Dennis.

She did all the books for the farm and was excellent learning the computer and technology on her own. She was so smart and worked so hard at everything she did.
