DAVID KELLEY

David Thomas Kelley, 35 years old, passed away on August 21, 2022, in Cooperstown, ND, from complications of M.S. He was born April 19, 1987, in Helena, MT on a snowy Easter Sunday. His life’s journeys took him to many states. He remained in Fargo, ND calling it his home. There he made many lifelong friends and their families treated him as their own son. David was very artistic. While attending high school, he entered his self-portrait in the school’s art contest and won first place. His portrait was displayed in the Fargo Art Museum. He expressed his artistic abilities in many different medias. His other hobbies were photography, skateboarding, biking, swimming, snowboarding, and wrestling. Later in life, he designed hand painted athletic shoes. David loved shoes!! He graduated from North High School in 2005 and attended the Art Institute in Minneapolis, MN after graduating from high school. David’s favorite job was his employment at Fargo Forum newspaper. He also volunteered at a local bike shop. He is survived by his father Patrick, his mother Janet, his brother Brian, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held on September 9, 2022, at 2 pm at Quam Plaisted Cushman Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND. Lunch will be provided after the service at Pizza Ranch in Cooperstown. We want to thank Griggs County Care Center for the excellent care they provided to our David. David will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He brought kindness, laughter, joy, and his silly personality to everyone he met. His favorite saying was “I’m awesome!”. Thank you, David, for having us through your journey in life. We will always have you in our hearts. You were truly an awesome son and friend! In lieu of flowers, please donate to the M.S. Foundation or Humane Society in remembrance of David.
