DAWN M. SEVERSON

Dawn Marie Severson was born to Kasper and Minnie (Venhuizen) Severson on January 22,1963 in Valley City, ND. She passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026 in Cooperstown, ND.

Dawn was confirmed at United Methodist Church in Wimbledon, ND. She graduated from Wimbledon-Courtenay High School in 1981. She attended NDSSS in Wahpeton, ND earning a Graphic Arts Degree in 1983. She went on to graduate from Minot State University in 1989 with a Criminal Justice Degree. Dawn was Counselor at North Dakota State Industrial School in Mandan, ND for many years.

Dawn was very creative and loved woodworking and puzzles. Dawn and her lifelong partner, Dale Haas shared a love for fishing and camping and they would take off with the dogs to many of their favorite sites any chance they could.

Dawn was diagnosed with Lupus at the age of 24 yet continued to live life to the fullest.

Dawn is survived by her boyfriend, Dale Haas, Bismarck ND; Sister, Darlene (Gary) Hare, Dazey, ND; Brother, Kelly (Terri) Severson, Cooperstown, ND; nieces, Emily (Michael) Wolff, Jamestown, ND, Katie Severson, Moorhead, MN; nephews, Daniel (Haley) Wolff, Jamestown, ND, Andrew(Kendra) Wolff, Sibley, ND; numerous great-nieces and great nephew.

She was preceded in death by; her parents, Brother Howard Severson; Brother in laws, Rodney Davis and LeRoy Wolff.

A Graveside Service will be held in the Spring at Prairie View Cemetery, Wimbledon, ND.
