EVERETT VIGESAA

Hurluf Everett Vigesaa  83, died Wednesday February 9, 2022 at the Griggs County Care Center Cooperstown ND surrounded by his family.

Everett  was born June 28^th 1938 to Herluf and Ruth Bergstad- Vigesaa Cooperstown ND. He  grew up on the family Farm in Griggs County. He attended rural grade School, high school at Oak Grove Lutheran High School  in Fargo ND. He attended NDSSS in Wahpeton ND majoring in mechanics. He served in the Army National Guard and was employed at Main Motors, a local body Shop and Reiten Manufacturing in Cooperstown. He was also an avid hunter and trapper.

On May 7^th 1960 he married Faye Fliflet  in Hannaford ND. They made their home in Hannaford and later moved to Cooperstown.  He loved farming and in 1966 they purchased a farm in Rural Cooperstown in the Sheyenne River Valley where he farmed up until his retirement. Everett enjoyed the outdoors and especially his wild flower gardens where he would be found weeding them. They enjoyed taking   adventurous trips, which included Alaska, Northern Canada, and the Southern States in the winter months. Everett especially enjoyed his fishing and four wheeler adventures with his family. 

They moved into Cooperstown in 2017, and he entered the Griggs County Care Center in 2019.

Everett loved the Lord and he was a life- long member of Zion Lutheran  Brethren Church and served as Elder and Trustee for many years.

Everett is survived by his wife Faye of 61 years;  One son Wayne Vigesaa, Fergus Falls, MN and Three daughters,  Lauri (David) Stokka,  Bismarck ND, Sally Jo (Kevin) VenHuizen Fargo ND, Marci (Wayne) Johnson. Cooperstown ND,   10 Grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren.  Two Sisters, Kathryn Vigesaa Lipke,  Masonville Quebec.  Jeanne (Maury) Foss, Fergus Falls MN  and numerous Nieces and Nephews. His sisters-in-Law Marilyn Arneson and Ann  Fliflet.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Roald.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to our local Fire Department or Medical services.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 12:00 pm till 2:00 pm in the Zion Lutheran Church, Cooperstown, ND.  A Family Service will at 12:30 pm, followed by a  Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.  Interment will be held in the Westley Cemetery later this spring.
