FAYE VIGESAA

Faye Vigesaa 86, Cooperstown ND – died Thursday January 22, 2026 at Dakota Regional Medical Center Cooperstown, ND. Faye will be remembered for her love, dedication to family, and the many lives she touched throughout her years.

Faye Rachel Vigesaa was born January 10, 1940 to Julius and Sylvia (Pederson) Fliflet. She grew up on a farm west of Walum, ND and graduated from Hannaford Public School.

She married Hurluf Everett Vigesaa on May 7, 1960. They made their home in Hannaford ND for a short time before moving to Cooperstown. In 1966, Faye and Everett purchased a farm east of Cooperstown where they resided until 2018. Upon retiring from farming, they once again moved back into Cooperstown. Everett passed away in February of 2022. In 2024, Faye moved to the Dakota Regional Medical Care Center where she appreciated the friendships of many of the residents and staff.

Faye worked at Security State Bank in Hannaford for a short time but spent the rest of her years helping out Everett wherever she was needed on the farm, she was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great – grandmother. Faye was always cooking, baking, or tending to her yard, garden and flower beds and making sure there was always a fresh pot of coffee and homemade treats ready to share. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and love. Faye greatly enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church and was always looking for ways to share her faith with others and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Faye is survived by her son, Wayne Vigesaa, Fergus Falls, MN, daughters Lauri (David) Stokka, Bismarck, ND, Sally Jo (Kevin) VenHuizen, Fargo, ND, Marci (Wayne) Johnson, Cooperstown, ND, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Many Nieces and Nephews. Sisters- in- Law Ann Fliflet, Kathryn Vigesaa Lipke, Jeanne (Maury) Foss and Marilyn Arneson.

Faye was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, sister, and brother.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in the Spring.
