JANE ANN IHRY

Jane Ann (Platt) Ihry, 88, of Hope, ND died peacefully Wednesday, May 22^nd at Luther Memorial Home in Mayville, ND where she had been a resident since May of 2021.

Born January 8th, 1936 in Ada, MN to Frank and Esther Platt.

Jane married Dave Ihry on September 1^st, 1959 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Ada, MN.

Dave and Jane made their home in the Hope, ND area where they raised children Dwight and Heather.

Jane’s interests included- supporting Dave and her entire family in every way she could, helping others in the community, and of course her love for gardening and all things flower related. She definitely had a green thumb! Jane was loved by everyone that knew her and was affectionately called “Janie Bird” by many.

Jane is survived by son Dwight (Carol) Ihry, HItterdal, MN. Daughter Heather Vigen (Bryan Carlson) Fargo, ND.

Grandchildren Chase (Zoey) Vigen, Lou (Melissa Pearson) Ihry, Heather (Doug) Haverkamp, Nathan Ihry. Brother Bud Platt, sisters Carol Braunschweig and Kathy Nyessen. Sister in laws Phyllis (Joe) Papin and Toni Ihry. Brother in law Jeff Ihry.

Jane is also survived by her extended family in Hope, ND the Schumacher’s. Providing a home and countless adventures, Pete, Cherie, and the entire family were a very important part of “Grandma Jane’s” life.

Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Esther. Husband Dave Ihry. Son in law Wes Vigen. Siblings Edna Barsness, Betty Pazdernik, Bob Platt. Sister in laws Betty Ihry, Katheryn (Ihry) Washburn, Joletta Ihry. Bother in laws Don and James Ihry. Nephew Jay Mathew Ihry.

A Mass will be Friday, June 7, 2024 at 6:00 pm  At. Agatha’s Catholic Church, Hope, ND.  A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 12:30 pm in the Hope American Legion followed by interment in the Hope Cemetery, Hope, ND.
