JEROME (BUTCH) MCCALLSON

Jerome “Butch” McCallson, 82, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on April 10, 2029, at Griggs County Care center.

Born on June 13, 1943, Butch was the son of LeRoy and Mabel “Cederson” McCallson. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy Isaacson Fritz (Larry).

He is survived by his nephews, James D. Isaacson (Kathleen) and Jefrey D. Isaacson (Amy), along with four great-nieces and great-nephews.

Butch was a graduate of Hannaford High School and served his country as a member of the National Guard. He pursued higher education at Concordia College before completing his studies at the University of North Dakota, where he earned a degree in accounting and attained his Certified Public Accountant designation.

He spent many years living and working in St. Paul, Minnesota, employed by the State of Minnesota as an auditor for the state college system. After retiring early, Butch returned to Hannaford to care for his parents and continued to reside there after their passing.

He will be fondly remembered for his easygoing nature, love of the outdoors, time spent at The Shack, and the lasting memories shared with family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Butch’s life will be held at a later date.
