Johannes Zachariah Brannan
Johannes Zachariah Brannan, age 32, of rural Finley ended his life at his home on June 28, 2025.
Johannes (Joe) was born November 28, 1992 in Mayville, ND. He was christened at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Superior, WI and was confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sharon, ND.
He attended Finley-Sharon School from grades 7-12 where he graduated as valedictorian. He had been employed at a variety of places but most recently as a self-employed roofer.
Johannes enjoyed bonfires and cookouts, taking his sons fishing, camping out under the stars, back-road driving; spending time with his brothers and friends, teaching the boys about life in the country and watching the kids grow.
Johannes is survived by his son, Jehnsen, who he shared with Tiffany Elness; his special friend, Tiffany Davidson; her daughter, Kyra and sons, Christopher, Colton and Ben; his mother, Denise (Jerry) Rosnow of Sharon, ND; father, Darryl Brannan of Poplar, WI; grandfather, Charles Brannan of Minong, WI; grandmother, Sue (Dennis) Laaksonen of Hazelhurst, WI; brothers, Ethan(Kaden) Rosnow of Finley, ND; Nick Brannan (Miranda) of Finley, ND; Kyle Rosnow of Grand Forks, ND; Steven Rosnow of Sharon, ND; Travis Rosnow of Sharon, ND and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and great-aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his cousins, Marqus Mickelson, Travis Mickelson; grandfather, Dennis Amundson; grandmother, Sue Brannan; grandmother Arlene Salomaki; grandfathers, John Tollas and Walter Salomaki; aunt, Christine Amundson; uncle Darin Amundson; grandmother, Mary Ellen Rosnow; cousin, Miles Rosnow.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 7, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Sharon, ND, with visitation one hour before.
