LISA PUHR

Lisa Ann Puhr, 64, lost her hard fought battle with cancer, Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family under hospice care.

Lisa was born June 25, 1961 in Kensal, ND to Edward and Cecelia ( Zimprich) Schaack. She grew up on the family homestead, graduating in 1979 from Binford High School.

Lisa was well known for selling eggs and cream in the rural communities during her younger years. She married Joseph Puhr on April 23, 1983.

Lisa had a knack for making flower arrangements and photography, inspiring her to start her own business, “Photo and Flowers by Lisa”, eventually expanding into 3 locations, Cooperstown, Binford and McVille for a period of time. She also worked at Bloom -N- Crafts and Keith Trader Law Office in Valley City, also doing odd jobs in her spare time.

Lisa loved her farm animals, her miniature donkeys, miniature horses, chickens, ducks and she also had a love for dogs. She also enjoyed travelling, visiting 49 of the 50 states, plus many foreign countries.

Lisa enjoyed shopping, coin collecting, cooking, baking, flower gardening, decorating and celebrating Christmas.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Lisa is survived by her Husband, Joseph Puhr and special family friend Bill Arganbright.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 23, 2025 from 6:00 till 7:00 pm with a Wake at 7:00 pm the Quam-Plaisted-Funeral Home in Cooperstown, ND. A Funeral Mass will be Monday, November 24, 2025 at 10:30 am in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Jessie, ND.
