LORI L. WENDLICK

Lori L. Wendlick, 72, Finley, ND, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 in the Luther Memorial Home, Mayville, ND.

Lori Louise Wendlick was born November 11, 1953 to Lenwood and Amy Wendlick. She attended Finley High School, graduating in 1971. Following high school, Lori attended New York Hairdressing Academy in Fargo, ND and received her beautician license. She later worked at the Portland Liquor Store as an Assistant Manager for over 20 years. After returning to Finley, Lori worked for Fetting’s Bakery. She also helped many in the community with projects around their homes and businesses, including organizing, cleaning, and painting.

Lori was a proud and loyal fan of the North Dakota State University Bison! She was a football season ticket holder and she rarely missed a game. Football season meant family, tailgating, and cheering on the Bison together- traditions she treasured deeply. She also was a lifelong Minnesota Twins and Vikings fan. Lori had a creative and crafty spirit, often spending time making heartfelt, and homemade Christmas gifts for her family. She enjoyed embroidery, diamond art, and sewing. She made many beautiful dream-catchers, a nod to her Native American heritage.

Lori’s greatest joys were her family and her dog, ChiChi. A visit to her home meant being greeted by Lori with ChiChi not far behind. She faithfully attended countless games, concerts, and events for her nieces and nephews. She loved cooking for her family and eagerly offered to help at family gatherings. She cherished every moment spent together and made sure the people she loved knew it.

Lori will be remembered for her determination, grit and servant's heart. She was someone who truly put others before herself. Whether helping a neighbor, supporting family, or showing up without being asked, she gave selflessly and wholeheartedly. She leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, and unwavering devotion to those she loved most.

She is survived by brothers Lennie (Bev Devlin) Wendlick, Finley, ND, and Larry (Linda) Wendlick, Fargo, ND, sister Leona Storch, Fargo, ND, nieces Casie (Keith) Groven, Northwood, ND, Crystal Palm, Valley City, ND, Danielle (Tyson) Bosse, Rogers, ND, and Brooke (Brad) Solberg, Carrington, ND, nephews Justin Wendlick (Amanda Carlson), Abercrombie, ND, and Lance (Kim) Johnson, Ft. Collins, CO, 10 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews. Lori was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Ashley Wendlick.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
