MARCIA K. ESLINGER

Marcia Kay Eslinger, a resident of Cooperstown, North Dakota, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026, at the Griggs County Care Center.

Marcia Kay Stormoe was born on August 3, 1940, in Northwood, North Dakota, to Elinor Stormoe. She grew up on the family farm near Hatton, North Dakota, where she graduated from high school. She later attended Mayville State University before returning to the family farm, where she worked for her grandparents until their retirement.

In June of 1973, Marcia married Elmer Eslinger. Together they made their home in Cooperstown, North Dakota, and later spent several years living in Gwinner, North Dakota. In 1980, they welcomed their son, Dustin. Marcia loved children and operated a daycare in her home for several years. When her grandsons, Landon and Rylan, were born, they became her pride and joy.

Marcia enjoyed cooking and baking, working on crafts, scrapbooking, and spending time on the computer. She found joy in caring for others and in the simple, meaningful moments of everyday life.

Marcia is survived by her son, Dustin (Amber) Eslinger; her grandsons, Landon and Rylan Eslinger; her sisters, Pamela (Richard) Bender, Sherry (Darrell) Carlson, and Vicki (Neil) Sandvik; cousins, Loretta (James) Michaelis, and Dean (Gloria) Midstokke; special great-grandniece, Stephanie (Casey) Skjeret; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Eslinger; a special niece and godchild, Julie Ann VenHuizen; her grandparents, Mathilda and Christian Stormoe; her mother and stepfather, Elinor and Alfred Herberg; her sister, Janet (Kent) VenHuizen; her aunt, Elaine (Myron) Midstokke; and her cousins, Donovan (Jean) Stormoe, Dennis (Vicky) Stormoe, Lynne (Peter) Vigesaa, Harlan Midstokke, and Darrell (Sharon) Stormoe.

Marcia will be dearly missed by her family, loved ones, and friends.
