MARIE SKAUFEL

Marie Eliza Skaufel, 84, Jessie ND, was born October 12^th, 1934 near Cooperstown, ND, where she was raised, the daughter of George Peterson and Mary (Fiebiger) Peterson.

She married Erling Skaufel on October 23, 1958 in St George Catholic Church in Cooperstown. They moved to Jessie, ND in 1963 where they loved their two children Allen and Julie, farmed and raised cattle. Marie passed away April 29, 2019 at Griggs County Care Center, Cooperstown, ND.

Marie enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds, horses, her many sewing projects, reading and spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marie is survived by one son Allen Skaufel, Cooperstown, ND one Daughter Julie Skaufel (Jeff) Valley City, ND, six grandchildren Terrah Flatt (Matthew), Shawn Skaufel, Oxanna Krabbenhoft (Wyatt), Cassandra Pantzlaff, Josh Pantzlaff (Amelia), Tyler Pantzlaff (Courtney) and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Erling, parents George and Mary and one brother George Peterson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 10:30 am in St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Jessie, ND. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 till 7:00 in the Quam-Plaisted-Cushman Funeral Home Cooperstown, ND and one hour before services in the Church. A Prayer Service will be Monday at 7:00 in the Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery, Jessie, ND.
