ROBERT ZIEGLER

September 13, 1952 — June 10, 2020

Robert Alan Ziegler, 67, died Wednesday, June 10, 2020 with his family by his side after many years of suffering from Multiple Myeloma Cancer and heart issues. He went to be with his son and parents.

Robert Alan Ziegler was born September 13, 1952 to Eugene and Florence Ziegler in Cleveland, OH. He enlisted into the Air Force right out of high school and worked in Electronic Warfare.  Robert married Charlotte Day and into this union, three children were born, Dawn, Richard, and Theresa.  They resided in Kansas where he was stationed. 

On July 23, 1980, Robert married the love of his life, Janice Bakke.  They made their home in Minot, ND where he was last stationed and honorably discharged from the Air Force.  In this union, two children were born, twins Joshua and Tasha. They moved to Aneta, ND in 1985 where Robert was the Chief of Police and City Maintenance employee until 1993.  He then went to work for Cheyenne Tooling until he retired.

He was proceeded in death by his parents Eugene and Florence Ziegler, his son Richard Ziegler, his mother and father-in-law William and Dorothy Bakke, and his brothers Richard and Tommy Ziegler.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 40 years Janice Ziegler, Finley, ND, his children, Dawn Dicciuccio, Parma, OH, Theresa (Andy) Mlocki, Parma, OH, Joshua Ziegler, Galesburg, ND, Tasha (Pete) Martin, Tappen, ND, and daughter-in-law Amanda Ziegler, Ravenna, OH. Brothers Paul (Teresa) Ziegler, Grove City, Ohio, Phil (Barbara) Ziegler, Hope, ND, Ralph (Renee) Ziegler, Mentor, OH, and George (Linda) Ziegler, Crossville, TN.  Sisters Ann (Allen) Ashby, Las Vegas, NV, and Mary (Bill) Cross, Las Vegas, NV. His grandchildren, the lights of his life, Mavrick, Mitchell, and Angelina Ziegler, Jacob and Jessica Mlocki, Miranda Reyes, Donaven and Daniel Martin, Jeramie, Justyn, and Joey Ziegler, and Jacob Volker.  Greatgrandchildren Atz and Kenzie Reyes and many beloved nieces and nephews and his faithful friend, Dave Wright of Cooperstown.
